Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a hardworking Laborer to support underground utility construction projects. You will assist skilled crews, load materials, dig trenches, and help keep sites safe and organized.

This full-time on-site role offers overtime opportunities and requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work outdoors, and follow OSHA safety rules. Prior construction or utility experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or underground utility experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks outdoors.
• Willingness to learn and advance within the company.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks in support of underground utility construction projects.
• Assist with excavation, pipe installation, backfilling, grading, and site cleanup.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment on site.
• Dig trenches and hand excavation with shovels, picks, etc.
• Guide equipment operators during excavation and material placement.
• Maintain tools and equipment and handle materials safely.
• Assist with traffic control and work zone setup.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
