ANCO Wireless is seeking an Underground Utility Drill Operator - Experienced to join our team in the United States. This role involves operating equipment and assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utility systems such as water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications lines.

The ideal candidate will have experience with underground utility work and equipment operation, possess a strong work ethic, and be committed to safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and directional drills.
• Load and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Excavate trenches and prepare sites for underground utility installations.
• Assist with locating underground utilities and ensuring proper digging procedures.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Assist in laying, repairing, and maintaining underground utility lines.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and light equipment for manual labor tasks.
• Backfill trenches and restore work areas to original condition.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and PPE protocols.

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Underground Utility Drill Operator - Experienced to join our team. This role involves operating equipment and assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utility systems such as water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications lines. The ideal candidate will have experience with underground utility work and equipment operation, possess a strong work ethic, and be committed to safety.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

• Safely operate equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and directional drills.
• Load and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Excavate trenches and prepare sites for underground utility installations.
• Assist with locating underground utilities and ensuring proper digging procedures.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.

Labor Duties:

• Assist in laying, repairing, and maintaining underground utility lines.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and light equipment to complete manual labor tasks.
• Backfill trenches and restore work areas to their original condition.
• Work alongside team members, equipment operators, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, wearing proper PPE and following protocols.
• Keep job sites clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License
• At least one year of drilling experience
• Experience in underground utility installation, construction, or excavation.
• Ability to operate equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of utility locates, trenching, and excavation best practices.
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL
• Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
• Understanding of blueprints, utility maps, and work orders is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites ( up to 80% of the year).
