Job summary

Americom Technologies LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy equipment for underground utility installation and maintenance in Utah. You will handle backhoes, trenchers, mini-excavators and skid steers, and ensure work follows safety standards and project specs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of equipment experience. CDL-A and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in underground utility construction.
• Strong safety, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with trenchless technologies and utility systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoes, trenchers, mini-excavators, and skid steers for underground utilities.
• Perform manual labor tasks as needed (hand digging, loading/unloading materials).
• Verify utility locate markings and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with site restoration and housekeeping to maintain a safe work area.
• Support safety audits, JHAs and project documentation.
