Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Missouri is seeking an HDD Operator/Locator to install underground utilities safely and accurately. You will operate HDD equipment, locate the drill head, and monitor depth, pitch, and bore alignment on active projects.

Responsibilities include reading utility prints, potholing, reaming, pullback, conduit installation, and maintaining equipment and logs in compliance with OSHA and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous horizontal directional drilling experience.
• Ability to read utility prints, bore plans, and utility markings.
• Understanding HDD fundamentals including depth, pitch, steering, reaming, and pullback.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD equipment for underground utility installation.
• Locate and track the drill head throughout the bore.
• Monitor depth, pitch, direction, and bore alignment.
• Read utility prints, bore plans, and utility markings.
• Perform potholing, reaming, pullback, and conduit installation.
• Adjust drilling techniques based on soil conditions and obstacles.
• Operate supporting equipment as needed.
• Complete required equipment logs and job documentation.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, company, and damage-prevention requirements.
