Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Groundperson to support underground electric utility construction, installation, maintenance, and restoration tasks. The role involves trenching, conduit and cable work, site setup, material handling, and occasional equipment operation under supervision.

Candidates must be able to travel, work extended hours, nights, weekends, and storm restoration as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork on an outdoor jobsite.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; CDL requirements may apply depending on assignment.
• Willing to travel and work out of town; extended hours and non-standard shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-level work on underground electric utility facilities maintenance.
• Assist with trenching, excavating, potholing and exposing utilities.
• Install conduit, cable, wire, grounding, equipment and pedestals.
• Set up and maintain the work area, stages, barricades, and housekeeping.
• Load/unload materials and operate basic hand/power tools as trained.
• Occasionally operate trucks or other equipment as authorized.
• Assist drill operators during excavation and conduit installation.
• Perform restoration work and occasional bucket/aerial tasks as trained.
