Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking hardworking Underground Utilities Laborers to join our heavy civil construction team.

This position assists in installing underground utility systems, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, drainage structures, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to building quality infrastructure safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Physically demanding construction work.
• Work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and support long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, and drainage systems.
• Work in and around trenches while following trench safety requirements.
• Load, unload, and transport pipe, fittings, tools, and materials.
• Assist pipe layers, operators, and foremen with utility installation activities.
• Use hand tools, power tools, laser levels, and other construction equipment safely.
• Help with excavation support, bedding material placement, backfilling, and compaction operations.
• Install utility structures, including manholes, catch basins, and drainage inlets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Assist with traffic control and site preparation activities as required.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
