Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy equipment in underground utility construction.
• Ability to read grade stakes and interpret utility plans accurately.
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation best practices.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, track hoes, backhoes, loaders and related machinery.
• Perform excavation and trenching for underground utility installation.
• Assist with installing storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterline, and drainage systems.
• Read grade stakes, blueprints, and site layouts for accurate work.
• Work safely around existing utilities and adhere to OSHA and site rules.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Coordinate with pipe crews, foremen, and project managers to maintain production.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and assist with general tasks as needed.
