Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Underground Foreman to lead outdoor utility construction projects in a safety‑minded environment. This role involves instructing crews, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring quality workmanship on telecom sites across Ohio.

You will troubleshoot field issues, mentor team members, and manage all aspects of the job-site to deliver reliable infrastructure. This is a long-term, hands-on leadership position requiring strong problem solving.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a n Underground Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

• Use your knowledge and skills in construction to build, repair, and maintain projects
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
• Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers, and other types of machinery
• Manage all aspects of job-site construction

Compensation of $30-$40 per hour, depending on the experience.
