Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator for Midland, MI to operate drill equipment and install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

As an integral part of our Operations Production team, you will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and maintain bore schedules while performing site setup and equipment maintenance in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
