Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an entry-level Underground Power Technician/Laborer to assist in installing and maintaining underground electrical power distribution systems. You will work with conduit, duct banks, and cables, following safety procedures and project plans.

The role emphasizes outdoor work in variable weather, physical labor, and teamwork with linemen and technicians. This entry point offers opportunities for advancement into operator or senior technician

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Entry-level role with potential for advancement within underground power and utility construction.
Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

Install conduit, duct banks, cable vaults, handholes, and related underground infrastructure.
Pull, place, and secure underground electrical cables under supervision.
Prepare sites and restore sites, including grading and cleanup.
Assist equipment operators, linemen, and technicians.
Follow utility specifications, project plans, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to company safety policies.
Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
