Job summary

Utilities One is seeking an experienced UG Operations Supervisor in Denver to oversee in-house underground drilling crews, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all UG operations in the region.

The role requires extensive travel (80%+ within the assigned region) and offers a company vehicle and travel expenses. Lead on-site training, audits, and coordination with operations and project teams to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on underground drilling experience.
• Strong understanding of HDD, potholing, utility locates, and safety protocols.
• Experience training or mentoring UG crews preferred.
• Ability to read construction prints and jobsite plans.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across multiple states.
• OSHA 10/30, NCCER certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Daily Oversight: supervise and inspect underground drilling operations for safety and quality.
• Training & onboarding: lead on-site training for new and existing IH crews.
• Safety Compliance: enforce safety standards and conduct jobsite audits.
• Quality Control: review bore logs, restoration, potholing, and fiber/copper paths.
• Problem solving: coordinate with operations and project teams.
• Documentation: maintain records and provide reports to leads.
• Communication: align goals with Regional Directors, Foremen, and PMs.
