Job summary

Rio Tinto's Resolution Copper project near Superior, Arizona, is hiring four Underground Contractor Coordinators to help deliver safe, efficient underground operations and align daily and weekly mine plans. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will coordinate contractor activities and monitor progress while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You should have extensive underground mining experience, strong planning and communication skills, and the ability to influence contractor

• Extensive underground mining experience and safe operating practices.
• Experience coordinating multiple work groups in underground environments.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate underground contractor activities to support safe execution of daily and weekly mine plans.
• Monitor progress against plan, identify deviations and support recovery actions.
• Communicate changing priorities, risks and constraints with contractor supervisors and planning teams.
• Conduct regular underground inspections to verify work quality and safety readiness.
• Support planning processes by aligning materials, equipment, permits and resources.
• Participate in shift handovers and planning meetings to maintain continuity.
• Capture and escalate operational risks and opportunities affecting execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of underground coordination and performance.
