Job summary

Redpath is seeking an underground mining professional to inspect and operate equipment, install ground support, and maintain safe working conditions in underground headings. The role involves handling loaders, bolters, and drills, and following strict safety procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 2-year mining tech education encouraged, and be prepared for long shifts, overtime, and shift rotations. Training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience or exposure preferred.
• Able to follow safety procedures and SWPs.
• Must pass background and physical checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before and after shifts to ensure safe operation.
• Operate mining equipment such as bolters, LHDs and jumbo drills as directed.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement temporary controls.
• Install ground support like rock bolts and welded mesh per plan.
• Load and detonate explosives following established procedures.
