Job summary

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized HSE Coordinator to join our team at a project location about 65 miles outside of Elko, Nevada.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will administer and implement occupational health, safety and environmental programs and coordinate day-to-day safety initiatives. The role requires 4–6 years of underground mining experience, MSHA certification, and the ability to manage audits, inspections, and training across

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an underground hard rock mine.
• Certificate in MSHA Required.
• Able to effectively prioritize workload/activities with strong sense of urgency and outcomes focused.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with professionalism and leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full understanding and compliance with Barminco HSE policies and work with mining regulations to promote safe work behavior.
• Perform safety inspections, hazard analysis, and incident investigations.
• Develop and distribute weekly/monthly HSE reports and training materials.
• Conduct audits of HSE systems, programs and site locations.
• Maintain records and communicate with injured employees and medical providers.
• Provide on-site inductions and ensure site competence for tasks/roles.
• Maintain critical registers and facilitate training and competency data.
• Conduct workplace inspections across multiple sites and locations.
• Lead and mentor staff in safety practices and Barminco principles.
