Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Frontline Supervisor for our Cortez operations. The ideal candidate will bring proven underground hard rock mining knowledge and at least 6 years of underground experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, to lead safety-focused teams in a high-demand setting.

The role requires coordinating with maintenance and engineering, developing staff to standards, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of underground mine related experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience at a supervisory level.
• Proven knowledge of underground hard rock mining.
• Experience in an environment involving planning/scheduling of maintenance work.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to supervise and direct underground supervision.
• Excellent safety and performance record.
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign personnel as jobs require.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment preforms as desired.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure compliance with mine plans.
• Develop and train employees to standards for safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Preform other duties as assigned.
