Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Lead Underground Mine Supervisor to oversee daily underground mining operations in Connellsville, PA. You will ensure safe production, manage a team of hourly workers, and optimize equipment utilization.

The role requires leadership in underground mining, knowledge of drilling, blasting, ventilation, and compliance with MSHA and state regulations. Union experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in underground mining or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of underground mining methods, drilling and blasting, ventilation, and mobile mining equipment.
• PA Underground Mine Foreman certification and underground mining licenses/certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily underground mining operations to meet safety, production, and quality goals.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of hourly employees.
• Manage production schedules, equipment availability, and maintenance activities.
• Support mine development, ventilation planning, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA, state regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.
