Job summary

Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho seeks an experienced Underground Mine Mechanic to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground mobile equipment and fixed plant systems, ensuring high equipment availability and safe operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read and interpret technical manuals, coordinate with operations, and support dedicated shutdowns and rebuild projects while adhering to MSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, electrical, diesel, drivetrain and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair underground mining equipment including LHDs, haul trucks, drills, bolters, and support vehicles.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per manufacturer recommendations and site programs.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, drivetrain, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain underground infrastructure including ventilation fans, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
