Job summary

International Minerals Carlsbad, INC. seeks an experienced Mine Maintenance Person to maintain and repair equipment and facilities essential to underground mining operations.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on underground face equipment, diesel equipment, material-handling systems, feeders, conveyors, and related machinery. The ideal candidate has heavy-equipment maintenance experience and can work safely underground.

Qualifications

• Strong background in heavy-equipment maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
• Willing to work underground and respond to overtime and callouts.
• Demonstrated safety discipline and reliable attendance.
• Experience with underground diesel and face equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on underground face equipment.
• Repair and maintain underground diesel equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on underground equipment.
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, and potential failures.
• Document maintenance and communicate equipment conditions to supervisors.
• Perform welding and cutting as required.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Work overtime and respond to callouts as needed.
