Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative maintenance on mining equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks.
• Carry out permissibility checks.
• Weld and fabricate mechanical parts.
• Splice equipment cables.
• Repair belt drives and starter boxes.

Job description

This position requires a current KY State electrical card. Must be able to work any shift and maintain and repair underground mining equipment and machinery.

Essential Functions:

• Emergency and Preventative Maintenance, including electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair/replacement of component parts, on all production and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, i.e. greasing, fluid checks, oil and filter change, etc.
• Perform permissibility checks
• Welding and acetylene torch cutting repair and mechanical fabricating.
• Splicing equipment cables as needed.
• Weld belt drives and starter boxes.
