Job summary

Blackhawk Mining, LLC is seeking a qualified supervisor to lead underground electrical and maintenance activities in the assigned mine area. The role focuses on keeping equipment in safe, permissible condition and minimizing downtime.

Experience coordinating preventive maintenance, managing parts inventories, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements is preferred. The ideal candidate has extensive underground maintenance experience, at least 2 years supervising crews, WV/MSHA

Qualifications

• WV/MSHA Underground Low, Medium and High Voltage Electrical certification
• Minimum 5 years underground maintenance experience
• Minimum 2 years underground supervisory experience
• WV Underground Mine Foreman certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance/electrical function for the mine area
• Maintain the mine electrical system in safe permissible condition
• Direct the electrical repair work to ensure safe efficient completion
• Supervise all maintenance to mobile and stationary equipment in assigned area
• Regular permissible checks on all electrical equipment
• Oversee the preventive maintenance program for assigned area
• Complete all electrical/maintenance reports required by law or company policy
• Regular inspection of equipment to ensure operating condition and removing from service for repair when required
• Order parts and supplies for repair work
• Participate in the evaluation of equipment life as to rebuilds or replacements

Job description

Supervise the maintenance/electrical function for the area of the mine assigned. Maintaining equipment in ready, permissible condition there-by reducing down time and increasing cost effectiveness.

• Maintain the mine electrical system in safe permissible condition.
• Direct the electrical repair work to ensure safe efficient completion.
• Supervise all maintenance to mobile and stationary equipment in assigned area.
• Regular permissible checks on all electrical equipment.
• Oversee the preventive maintenance program for assigned area.
• See that all electrical/maintenance reports required by law or company policy are completed.
• Regular inspection of equipment to ensure operating condition and removing from service for repair when required.
• Order parts and supplies for repair work.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of UG electricity, electronics, hydraulics, mechanics and welding.
• Able to read prints.
• Skilled at troubleshooting for electrical and maintenance problems .

Requirements:
