Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman Underground to support construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems.

The role may require travel to another state based on customer demand and involves lifting heavy loads, working outdoors in various weather, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate self-motivation, team orientation, strong communication, and a commitment to ethical conduct while performing this physically

Qualifications

• Entry level lineman with 1–2 years of field experience.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and work in all weather.
• May require travel to another state.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License permit within 60 days of employment; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe underground construction, maintenance or repair work.
• Set poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, switchgear and related equipment.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits.
• Work with energized high voltage systems and protect workers.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
