Job Overview

S&S Directional Drilling Inc is looking for skilled and dependable Underground Laborers to support our underground operations. This includes working with underground utility systems, supporting directional drilling teams, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations. Candidates should have underground experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with directional drilling and underground utility installation
• Operate hand tools and support equipment such as shovels, compactors, and jackhammers
• Ensure safe excavation practices and follow OSHA safety standards
• Maintain and inspect tools, vehicles, and work sites
• Follow crew leader's instructions and contribute to team success
• Support bore rig operators and vac truck operations
• Help identify and avoid existing utility lines
• Load, unload, and organize materials at job sites
• Perform daily cleanup and ensure job site readiness

Qualifications

• Prior experience in underground utilities, directional drilling, micro trenching, civil, or site work is beneficial
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, bending, digging, trench work
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience operating equipment is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, safety-oriented
• Strong communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Valid driver's license preferred; CDL is a benefit
