Big Country Equipment is seeking an experienced licensed Underground Heavy Duty Mechanic (Equipment Technician) for shop repairs on mining equipment under a 14-on/14-off schedule. Rotational work in a heavy-duty setting, with preference for experience on underground gear.
Duties include inspecting and repairing bolters, scoops, jumbos, and hydraulic drills, diagnosing issues with computerized tools, and maintaining detailed service records. Safety, testing, and quality are emphasized.
Location: Southeast, Ontario
Base Rate: $ 62.50/hr.
OT: 4 hours daily, paid out at $93.75/hr.
Schedule: 14X14 - 12-hour days
Night Shift Premium: $1.25/hr.
Accommodations: Company housing is provided at no additional cost
Flights Paid: Yes, fly into the location from any major airport in Canada
Tools Provided: Tools will be provided
Travel Time: Paid to and from the site daily and at each end of your set

Licensed Truck and Transport Mechanics and Agricultural Equipment Technicians may also be considered with strong, relevant experience repairing heavy or off-road equipment.
