• Operate light and heavy duty equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist skilled laborers and laborers as needed.
• Fueling and maintain equipment; prepare trucks and materials for job.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines as needed.
• Inspect and service trucks, tires, lights, brakes, and fluids; request repairs.
• Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and safe driving practices.
• Load/unload trucks and secure cargo for transit.
• Assist with emergencies and follow crew leaders' directions.

• Does daily visual inspections & weekly written inspections when driving vehicles.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water and requests repairs as needed.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs and tire chains.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Makes sure all necessary documents are current in truck i.e. registration, inspection and insurance cards.
• Follow directions from crew leaders & supervisors
• Hand digging and related jobs that require physical labor
• Manual labor- is able to handle heat & cold temp
• Responsible to assist w/emergencies
