Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring an Underground Foreman to lead field crews on outdoor telecom construction projects. You will oversee safety, quality, and on-site execution while coordinating equipment and crew activities.

You will mentor teammates, troubleshoot field challenges, and ensure work meets high standards across all phases of the project. This role demands hands-on leadership and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

As an Underground Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects.

In addition, you will:

• Use your knowledge and skills in construction to build, repair, and maintain projects
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
• Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers, and other types of machinery
• Manage all aspects of job-site construction

• You know the telecom construction industry: Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Aerial and Underground Construction, etc.
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT med card for driving purposes (CDL preferred; applicants are subject to an MVR review, and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)

MOS Codes 12H, 3E251, 3E271, 4305 relate well to this position.

Compensation of $28-$30 per hour.
