Job summary

Glass Roots Construction, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead underground utility projects from inception to completion in Reno. You will drive project profitability, manage client relationships, and uphold safety and operational excellence.

The role requires leadership, proactive problem-solving, and mentoring field teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality, on-time results for complex civil construction projects.

Qualifications

• 4 years of familiarity with outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects.
• 2 years of telecom construction and design experience, especially for FTTx.
• Ability to read construction documents and manage multiple RFP/design schedules.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of construction vendors to expedite fiber network construction and splicing.
• Oversees permitting submittals and on-time performance of engineering and construction vendors.
• Interfaces with customers, subcontractors, jurisdictional authorities and internal staff.
• Manages internal and external risks affecting project scope, timeline and budget.
• Procuring and allocating resources to avoid shortages and delays.
• Supports development of RFIs/RFPs for new engineering and construction projects.
• Creates and tracks project budgets within Network Operations.
• Develops and updates processes to streamline workflows.
• Maintains all work in tracking systems with accurate data.
• Meets with municipalities and vendors to review scope and maintain clear communication.
