Job summary

Sunrise-Telecom is seeking an Underground Operator I in Richmond, Indiana to safely operate heavy equipment for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground telecommunications infrastructure. You will trench, bore, excavate and place conduit and fiber systems for network construction projects.

The role requires reading construction prints, complying with OSHA and company safety standards, and travel to various job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating underground construction equipment preferred.
• Ability to read construction prints and utility markings is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground construction equipment (bore machines, excavators, trenchers).
• Perform safe excavation for fiber, conduit, and utility installs.
• Read utility locates and construction plans.
• Comply with OSHA and company safety policies.
