Responsibilities

• Operating bucket truck and other equipment related to aerial fiber construction.
• Understanding how to set up the job (strand trailer, fiber trailer and caddies).
• Maintain clearances from utilities, ground, road, and nonpedestrian areas.
• Frame poles according to industry specifications.
• Lash/over-lash fiber cables as needed.
• Read and interpret network prints.
• Safely climb poles using gaffs or ladders.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements.
• Communicate by phone with crew throughout the day.
• Follow directions from crew leader.
