Job summary

Verità Telecommunications Corporation is seeking a Laborer to support telecom construction crews in underground fiber optic and utility infrastructure work, including site prep, trenching, conduit placement, and general labor duties. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $19 to $22, with overtime potential and opportunities for merit-based growth within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior construction or underground utility experience preferred.
• Experience in telecom, fiber optic, or utility work is a plus.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout shifts.
• Comfortable around heavy equipment and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underground fiber installation including trenching, hand digging, and conduit placement.
• Support directional drill and excavation crews
• Perform job site setup and cleanup
• Locate and expose existing utilities (hand digging / potholing as required)
• Pull, place, and secure fiber optic cables and innerduct
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain a safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards
• Perform traffic control and flagging when required
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small equipment
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
