Job summary

Verità Telecommunications Corporation is seeking a Laborer to support telecom construction crews in underground fiber installation, maintenance, and repair. The role involves trenching, conduit placement, site prep, and general labor to ensure projects meet safety and company standards.

Hourly pay ranges from $19 to $22, with potential overtime and a fast-paced, team-oriented environment outdoors across varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or underground utility experience preferred.
• Experience in telecom, fiber optic, or utility work a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underground fiber installation including trenching, hand digging, and conduit placement.
• Support directional drill and excavation crews.
• Perform job site setup and cleanup.
• Locate and expose existing utilities (hand digging / potholing as required).
• Pull, place, and secure fiber optic cables and innerduct.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform traffic control and flagging when required.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small equipment.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
