Job summary

The South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (SDSTA) is seeking a Custodian to perform custodial and light maintenance duties at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF). The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining the condition of assigned areas, and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning, restocking supplies, and conducting light maintenance. Successful candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and preferred custodial experience.

The position requires working on-site with shift work and exposure to varied environments.

Qualifications

• One year of custodial experience preferred.
• Familiarity with chemical safety regulations required.
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning tasks, including sweeping and vacuuming.
• Respond to and report emergency custodial situations.
• Conduct light maintenance duties in and around the facility.
