Job summary

Etna-Supply's UTS Supply division in Oklahoma City seeks an Underground Estimator to prepare material takeoffs for DOT, public, and private underground projects. You will review plans, identify materials, and collaborate with customers, sales, vendors, and engineers to ensure accurate quotes.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects. Read blueprints, stay current on underground products, and support the Underground Sales team throughout bidding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate material takeoffs for DOT, public, and private underground projects.
• Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and addenda to determine material requirements.
• Identify product specifications, certifications, and compliance needs.
• Prioritize projects based on bid dates and business needs.
• Communicate with customers, sales reps, vendors, and engineers to obtain information.
• Organize takeoffs by bid item or utility type (water, sanitary, storm).
• Update takeoffs when plans or addenda change.
• Maintain organized project files and correspondence.
• Assist with obtaining material pricing and preparing quotes.
• Stay current on underground products, specs, and installation methods.
• Provide accurate, timely support to the Underground Sales team during bidding.
