Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑driven Cable Splicer to build, repair and maintain underground electrical systems. The role involves working on energized and de‑energized lines, with travel to out‑of‑state sites as needed and reporting to the Foreman.

The position requires at least 3 years of underground experience, a valid CDL, and flexibility to travel and work overtime, with exposure to outdoor and variable weather conditions. Safety training and leadership duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays and on-call shifts.

Responsabilités

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized underground systems with safety as a priority.
• Lead crew in the absence of supervision and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow tagging procedures, grounding and voltage safety practices for energized and de-energized lines.
• Work in confined spaces and near energized equipment.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks and excavators.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
