Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an Underground Climbing Crew Leader to oversee and perform skilled work in construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems. You will supervise a crew, train junior members and ensure safe, productive completion of tasks in varied outdoor environments.

The role requires deep knowledge of underground systems, strong leadership, and the ability to handle physically demanding work while adhering to company safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb poles.
• CDL and safe driving demonstrated.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work outside of normal schedule including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.
• Supervises crew members.
• Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures.
• Capable of leading and teaching underground services, infrastructure and duct banks.
• Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.
• Capable of working in confined spaces.
• Capable of testing and classifying soil.
• Capable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.
