Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a dependable field laborer to support drilling and underground utility projects in Akron, OH. The role involves physical labor, pipe and conduit placement, and assisting the Drill Operator with locating tasks.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid CDL Class A license, have 2+ years of underground utility/telecom experience, and be comfortable traveling for project work. The job requires manual dexterity and the ability to operate power tools and drilling equipment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel.
• Valid Class A CDL Driver's license.
• 2+ years underground utility experience/ Telecom.
• Some experience operating drilling machinery.
• Experience with bores.
• Good manual dexterity and machine-controlling skills.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, digging and reaching required.
• Ability to lift, carry and place heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist as required in locating aspects of the project as directed by the Drill Operator.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties.
• Assist crew with placing underground pipes and conduits, manual labor, shovel work, and operation of power tools.
