Job summary

Utilities One in Seattle, WA seeks an Underground Operations Supervisor to oversee in-house underground drilling crews, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across UG operations in the region. The role requires extensive travel and hands-on coaching to meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underground drilling operations.
• Strong understanding of HDD, potholing, utility locates, and safety protocols.
• Experience training or mentoring UG crews preferred.
• Ability to read construction prints and jobsite plans.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily Oversight: Supervise and inspect underground drilling operations for safety and quality.
• Training & Onboarding: Lead on-site training for new and existing crews.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety standards and conduct jobsite audits.
• Quality Control: Review logs, restoration, potholing, fiber/copper paths for client and internal standards.
• Problem-Solving: Serve as first contact for field issues and coordinate with operations.
• Documentation: Maintain records and provide reports to leads.
• Communication: Collaborate with Regional Directors, Foremen, and Project Managers.
