Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. in Wilkes-Barre, PA, seeks a construction laborer to support crews in underground work. Expect long days outdoors in varying weather, with strict safety and documentation requirements.

Travel to projects may be needed; you will lift up to 80 pounds and climb ladders. Responsibilities include organizing materials, setting up traffic control, and assisting with equipment and truck readiness.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of driving experience with no major infractions in the previous three years.
• Two years of construction experience preferred.
• Willing to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays to projects.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen.
• Complete and pass a DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Pull routine construction tasks such as pulling a rope, climbing ladders, using hand tools, digging, cable handling, and general cleanup.
• Stock truck with materials to ensure adequate daily supply.
• Organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up traffic control signs and cones; flag and/or direct traffic as needed.
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks.
• Accurately complete all required company documentation (timesheets, truck reports, expense reports).
• Work safely and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties to help the team complete a project.
