Job summary

Congruex is seeking an Underground Construction Operator in Columbus, OH to safely operate heavy construction equipment, excavate around existing utilities, and install underground telecom and utility infrastructure while supporting field crews and ensuring efficiency and safety. Travel will be 25-50% overnight to project sites.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, ability to pass drug screening and MVR, and at least 1 year of heavy equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR review.
• Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Experience excavating around existing underground utilities.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Review blueprints and work orders to determine project requirements.
• Excavate and manage soil around utilities.
• Install underground cable and conduit with equipment.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Represent Congruex professionally with clients and communities.
• Work in standard and high-risk environments following safety procedures.
• Travel overnight to project sites as required.
• Additional duties within scope as needed.
