Job summary

KCI Technologies in Tampa, Florida is seeking a qualified candidate to operate and maintain CDL A vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety on job sites. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of experience and a valid CDL A driver's license.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL A vehicle and trailer combination.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Perform various physical duties as instructed by foreman to complete construction tasks; dig test pits, hand dig trench, etc.
• Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Experience placing underground cable a plus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work evenings/weekends when required. Travel for overnight and extended stay projects are possible and should be expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 4 years of experience.
• A valid current driver’s license is required.
• Clean driving record as an outcome of a pre‑employment motor vehicle records search.
• A valid current CDL A driver’s license and DOT card is required.
• Background checks may be required based upon position.

Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
