Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a safety‑conscious Cable Splicer in Bradenton, FL to build, repair, and maintain energized and de‑energized underground systems. Travel to various sites, including out‑of‑state locations, may be required to meet customer needs.

Reports to the Foreman and works with a crew to ensure safe, reliable installations. The role involves leading crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge, training apprentices, and performing live-line work with proper PPE and

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Extended work hours and on-call rotations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and underground systems.
• Lead crew members in the absence of supervision; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and hardware.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks, and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and travel to outages or emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulating tooling.
