Job summary

Pike Corporation in Bradenton, FL is seeking a skilled Cable Splicer to safely install and repair underground electrical systems on energized and de-energized circuits. You may travel to different job sites and report to the Foreman.

You will lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge, train apprentices, and perform live-line work with proper PPE and tools. A CDL and at least three years of underground experience are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willingness to travel long distances.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized systems.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and related hardware.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks and mini excavator.
• Perform live-line work with proper PPE and insulated tools.
