Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Undergraduate Research Associate (Hort & Crop) to join the FAES | Horticulture and Crop Science-JM team. You will assist turfgrass science research through mowing, fertilizer and pesticide treatments, data collection and data management, and planting turfgrass from seed and sod at Waterman Farm and Howlett Greenhouse.

Location will primarily be at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Research and Education Center at Waterman Farm in Columbus with occasional

Qualifications

• Experience with outdoor work preferred.
• Experience with lawn mowers and lawn equipment preferred but not required.
• Candidate should be able to perform field work at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain turfgrass at multiple sites.
• Apply fertilizer and pesticides according to protocol.
• Collect and manage field data for research projects.
• Plant turfgrass from seed and sod.
