Job summary

Saint Joseph's University is seeking a nine-month, non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor to provide didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction for undergraduate nursing students at the Hawk Hill campus. Responsibilities include teaching in obstetric, pediatric, and/or critical care nursing, advising students, and contributing to curriculum development.

The position emphasizes a combination of clinical and classroom teaching, with rank determined by credentials and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum: three years teaching experience in nursing with focus on obstetric, pediatric, or critical care (medical-surgical acceptable).
Strong clinical background in OB/peds/CC with teaching and evaluation expertise.
Excellent verbal and written communication; problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Facilitate lectures, labs, simulations and clinical experiences for undergrad nursing students.
Develop and revise course materials, syllabi and assessments.
Provide timely grades and feedback; mentor students and advise them academically.
Collaborate with BSN Program Director to align curriculum with policies.
Engage in curriculum development and evidence-based teaching practices.
