Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is offering an Undergraduate Intern position (ARMHS) with a community-based working model. The role is available as 0.25 - 1.0 FTE—full time or part time—and pays $17.00 per hour base.

Qualifications

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program within behavioral health (social work, psychology, sociology, community counseling, family social science, child development, child psychology, community mental health, addiction counseling, counseling and guidance, special education, nursing)
  • Must receive internship credit through your school/program or be completing formal practicum or internship through your school/program.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle to use during the internship.
  • Must have completed 30 semester credit hours or 40 quarter credit hours prior to starting your internship.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months for the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a small number of clients, providing support tailored to their needs, ensuring a positive impact on their mental health journey.
  • Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and/or their families in the home, community.
  • Document mental health sessions accurately, maintaining organized patient electronic health records in compliance with state legislation.
  • Attend staff and team meetings, contributing to collaborative client care and program development efforts.
  • Attend regular supervision with your internship supervisor

As an Undergraduate Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will be a crucial part of empowering clients on their journey toward mental health stability and independence. Requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program within behavioral health (social work, psychology, sociology, community counseling, family social science, child development, child psychology, community mental health, addiction counseling, counseling and guidance, special education, nursing)
  • Must receive internship credit through your school/program or be completing formal practicum or internship through your school/program.
  • Ideal candidates will have had previous experience working with individuals who have a mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or development disabilities. This experience could include, but is not limited to: direct support professional experience, paraprofessional work, working as a psychiatric aid, etc.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle to use during the internship.
  • Must have completed 30 semester credit hours or 40 quarter credit hours prior to starting your internship.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months for the internship.

Compensation:Total earnings for this position will start at $17.00 hourly.

*Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a full time FTE.
