ChampionX is seeking an undergraduate Engineering Co-Op in Evansville, Wyoming, to gain hands-on experience across engineering, manufacturing, plant operations, and continuous improvement within our Chemical Technologies division.

You will support day-to-day plant operations, participate in projects focused on efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability, and collaborate with experienced engineers and operations professionals in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a Spring or Fall 2027 graduation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer immigration sponsorship.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and manufacturing initiatives for operational efficiency, safety, and quality.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate student to join our Undergraduate Engineering Co-Op Program in Evansville, Wyoming. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

This position is based at our Evansville, WY facility, where you will gain practical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment while supporting day-to-day plant operations and engineering projects.

What You Will Do:

As an Engineering Co-Op at our Evansville, WY facility, your responsibilities may include:

• Support plant engineering and manufacturing initiatives that contribute to operational efficiency, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring engineering projects and plant operational activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing and operational data, identify trends, and recommend opportunities to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Participate in technical evaluations, troubleshooting activities, and engineering assessments to support plant operations.
• Assist with equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and operational improvement initiatives, as applicable.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cost efficiency, quality, and process optimization.
• Assist with preparing engineering documentation, technical reports, project updates, and performance tracking.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, equipment operations, engineering best practices, and project management principles.
• Contribute ideas and innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes, operational effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Participate in team meetings, project reviews, safety discussions, and professional development opportunities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to company safety standards, policies, and ethical business practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of Spring or Fall 2027.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in engineering, manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, or continuous improvement.
• Previous internship, Co-Op, academic project, or other relevant technical experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, chemical processing, or engineering environments.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and project management.
• Interest in learning about plant operations, equipment performance, and process optimization.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate technical information effectively.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Additional Information:

This Engineering Co-Op opportunity is based exclusively at our Evansville, Wyoming facility and provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing and plant operations environment.

The selected student will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering and operations professionals while contributing to projects that support plant performance, operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

Specific projects, assignments, and responsibilities will be determined based on facility needs, business priorities, and the student's educational background.
