Job summary

The University of Virginia, Charlottesville, seeks an Admission Counselor to support recruitment, admission and enrollment of undergraduates. Reporting to the Senior Admission Dean, you will collaborate across offices to guide prospective students through the UVA process.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Three years of admissions experience required; eight years in lieu of degree accepted.
• Student or intern experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing presentations for high schools, college fairs, community based organizations and other recruitment events.
• Providing feedback and advice to prospective students, parents and families about the application process.
• Serving as a liaison with various stakeholders such as alumni, faculty, and other members of the University community involved in the admissions process.
• In coordination with team members, plan and implement on-and off-grounds recruiting activities; hosting informational presentations on the University and undergraduate admission process.
• Fielding inquiries and providing resources.
• Serve on the Admissions Committee, as needed; and evaluating applications and making recommendations for admission to the University.
