Job summary

The Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an Undergraduate Student to join as a Radiological Control Technician. This position involves training and supporting critical missions while pursuing an Associate degree in Radiation Control at Northern New Mexico College. Students are compensated for class hours and undergo necessary training with the possibility of transitioning to full-time roles.

Requirements include a 2.75 GPA and completing the LANL application process. The role includes monitoring and controlling radiation hazards, ensuring safe operations in demanding environments.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain a 2.75 GPA from high school or college.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor individuals and areas for radioactive hazards.
  • Provide radioactive hazard control during operations.
  • Respond to off-normal and emergency events.
