Job summary

Lamar University seeks an Instructor of Criminal Justice to provide high-quality undergraduate instruction in face-to-face and online formats, advising, mentoring, and fostering student success. The nine-month, full-time role contributes to curriculum coordination, assessment, recruitment, and departmental service, with a focus on career readiness and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in criminal justice/criminology.
• Ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate CJ courses.
• Experience using instructional technologies and learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate CJ courses in face-to-face and online settings; develop and assess materials and outcomes; advise and mentor students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and student recruitment/retention.
• Engage in service activities and professional development while supporting community partnerships.
