Job summary

Amgen in Cambridge, MA, invites applications for an Undergrad Co‑op in Drug Substance Technologies Synthetics for January–June 2027. You will apply synthetic organic chemistry to develop robust processes for APIs and participate in scale‑up activities across early to late development.

The program emphasizes collaboration with R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams, offering exposure to manufacturing technologies and a transportation allowance for relocation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Expected to be enrolled after the co-op program.
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op program.
• Must be available to work a full-time schedule. Sponsorship for future FTE roles is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize synthetic organic chemistry to deliver robust processes and technologies for APIs across development stages.
• Learn scale-up of small-molecule intermediates, hybrid modalities, and APIs.
• Interact with scientists and engineers deploying manufacturing technologies.
• Relocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates.
