Job summary

Amgen invites an undergraduate student to join the Drug Substance Technologies Synthetics team in Cambridge, MA for a 6-month co-op. You will learn process scale-up of small-molecule intermediates and APIs using synthetic organic chemistry and chemical engineering principles, collaborating with scientists and engineers across platforms.

The program provides interaction with R&D, Clinical and Commercial partners, relocation allowance where eligible, and exposure to advanced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program with a 3.0+ GPA or equivalent
• Location: United States and able to work full-time hours during the co-op period
• Pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Data Sciences is preferred

Responsibilities

• Apply synthetic organic chemistry and chemical engineering to scale-up processes for APIs
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deploy manufacturing technologies
• Interact with R&D, Clinical and Commercial teams to support multiple product modalities
